422

Yearly-held community-focused rave exploring themes of queerness, the digital age, self-expression, diy music venues, and the intimacy of bedroom spaces. With immersive stage design accompanied by projection mapping and lighting design, this event creates a rave-inspired take on a cozy and familiar environment.

422 2026 was focused on highlighting performance art. Matching the moment, we curated a calm ambient space. The performances included: a nature ambient soundscape by Ix (Galel Collins Estrada); a poetic noise performance by Jérémie Kevin McCartney; an acoustic/spoken-word duet by  Dominique De Avila and Meredith Graham; and an audiovisual experience by 3v3rgr33n (Ev Page). Visitors were encouraged to sit or lie on the floor and let the experience flow through their body.

The 422 Rave (2025) played with the idea of a DJ performance, encouraging performers to break the mold and experiment with the medium. Kevin.wav played the trombone; ev.exe and mushratting cosplayed; and the duo Boston Babber, n4toz, and 1111iv made a fully dubsptep set.

422´s heart is in bedroom art. The 422 Rave (2024) brought the bedroom to the stage, with a make-shift bedroom set. This 422 also introduced the idea of a drag rave. Both drag and electronic music are forms of expression for queer people, forms of discovery. The show started with a vocal performance by Sora Andromeda; then drag performances by dirt., The Robiness, Mollie Guac, Jay Kingfisher, Xyx Xeven, Vitriole, Dr. Rock, Vilette, and Sybil Disobedience. The night ended with DJ performances by wavslave, n4toz b2b 1112i
